A period cottage in the medieval market town of Hatherleigh, easy reach of Dartmoor which can be viewed from the gardens. The cottage is fully equipped, with period features, including some exposed beams and an internal stained glass window of knights. Knights Cottage is maintained in excellent order.


Formerly a bible reading room, the cottage is a luxurious two bedroom holiday retreat, which offers a sumptuous lounge with a large television, Freeview, DVD player, stereo system, plenty of books to read, board games to play and DVD films to view.The cottage has a fully fitted kitchen / diner, with seating for four, electric hob and oven, fridge, separate utility room with washing machine and microwave. The dining area features a nook in the cob wall where the bible was originally held in the bible reading room.


With the option of two double bedrooms or one double and a twin room, each bedroom is fully equipped and has its own colour television. There is a family bathroom, with bath and overhead shower and WC plus a separate cloakroom WC.


Knights Cottage has shared use of the lovely gardens, adjoining Clockmakers Cottage gardens, patio area with table and chairs and views of the spire of the 13th Century church spire and the surrounding rolling countryside beyond.


A welcome tray on arrival, a traditional Devon cream tea, a jug of local cider and freshly laid free-range eggs from our hens.


Also available is Clockmakers Cottage - if you are seeking a cottage for 2, or take them both for a party of 6.


All bed linen, towels and tea towels are included. For your comfort and safety all of our properties are non-smoking.


Each of the cottages offer parking for one vehicle and gardens with views to Dartmoor and the surrounding countryside.
